Vega
I chose this star because it is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, as well as the fifth brightest in the night sky. Also, Vega is connected with the star Sirius in that they are two of the most luminous stars in the Sun’s neighborhood. Vega is claimed to most important star behind the sun by many scientist for multiple different reasons. One, it was the northern pole star and will be again the future, also it was the first star to be photographed and have its spectrum recorded (behind the sun).
