We had a quiz today over Significant figures, rounding, and measurement. During the test I did not feel confident about what I was doing, mainly because I constantly kept second guessing myself. AFter getting the results back, and only missing 2, I feel a lot better about what I did.
For the significant figures portion of the test, I had trouble remembering all of the rules in regards to which zeros were significant and which weren't. Here is a link explaining the sig figs more: http://www.chemteam.info/SigFigs/SigFigRules.html
For the rounding rules here is a link to a site that explains the use of the rules when adding and subtracting and multiplying and dividing: http://chemed.chem.purdue.edu/genchem/topicreview/bp/ch1/sigfigs.html
Kendall, I also had trouble remembering which zeroes were significant and which weren't. The link you added, however, definitely helped clear that up for me. Thanks for sharing!
